Egbeda Super for Youths and Sports, Hon. Adio Babatunde donates Three Major Inter-House Sports trophies to Alma Mater
Hon. Adio Babatunde, the Supervisor for Youths and Sports, Egbeda Local Government, today presented three major inter-house sports trophies to his alma mater, Idi-Ito High School, Erunmu, as part of efforts to promote sports development and encourage healthy competition among students.
The presentation took place within the school premises and was witnessed by the school principal, teachers, students, and other invited guests,the donation reflects Hon. Adio’s dedication to youth empowerment and grassroots sports development within Egbeda Local Government.
While speaking, Hon. Adio Babatunde expressed appreciation to the school for the role it played in shaping his academic and moral upbringing,he described Idi-Ito High School as a foundation that contributed significantly to his personal growth and leadership journey,he emphasized the importance of sports in fostering discipline, teamwork, unity, and resilience among young people, encouraging students to balance academic excellence with active participation in sporting activities.
Mrs Oluwemimo Deborah Oluranti, the Principal of Idi-Ito High School, Erunmu, lauded Hon. Adio Babatunde for the thoughtful gesture and his support for education and youth development,she described the donation as timely and impactful, adding that it would motivate students to embrace sports and uphold the values of excellence and fair play.
The Chairman of the School Parent-Teacher Association (PTA), Hon. Ephraim Ogunbunmi, also lauded Hon. Adio Babatunde for the donation, describing it as a commendable contribution to the development of sports and the overall growth of the school.
The event ended on a high note, with the school Head Boy and members of staff expressing gratitude and excitement over the trophies, which are expected to further strengthen the school’s inter-house sports competition and overall sporting culture.
