A prominent grassroots mobiliser and former Chairmanship Aspirant under the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Akinyele Local Government, Hon. Abidemi Saheed Abass, has congratulated Hon. Bimbo Adekanmbi on his emergence as the consensus candidate and preferred successor to the Executive Governor of Oyo State, Engr. Seyi Makinde.
Hon. Abass described the emergence of Hon. Adekanmbi as a reflection of competence, loyalty, capacity, and commitment to the progressive vision that has characterized the administration of Governor Seyi Makinde in Oyo State.
According to him, the decision reached by party stakeholders and leaders across the state demonstrates political maturity, unity of purpose, and a collective desire to sustain the developmental strides currently being witnessed under the Makinde-led administration.
Hon. Abass particularly commended Governor Seyi Makinde for what he described as “a courageous and thoughtful decision to choose the best among many qualified personalities,” noting that leadership succession should always prioritize competence, continuity, and the overall interest of the people above personal ambitions.
He further stated that Hon. Bimbo Adekanmbi possesses the administrative experience, political understanding, and people-oriented disposition required to consolidate on the achievements of the present government while opening new frontiers of development across the state.
The PDP stalwart urged party faithful, youths, women groups, stakeholders, and residents of the state to rally behind the consensus candidate in the interest of continuity, stability, and sustained good governance.
Hon. Abass reaffirmed his commitment to the ideals of the Peoples Democratic Party and pledged continuous support toward ensuring the party’s victory and the continued progress of Oyo State.
