BREAKING: Abducted Pupils, Teachers Freed in Oyo State
Pupils and teachers who were abducted from schools in Ahoro-Esiele and Yawota, in the Oriire Local Government Area of Oyo State, have regained their freedom, nearly two months after gunmen stormed the area and seized them.
The development was confirmed by Bayo Onanuga, Special Adviser to President Bola Tinubu on Information and Strategy, who announced on his X (formerly Twitter) account that the victims had been released by their captors.

The abduction, which occurred in Oriire LGA, had drawn widespread concern across the state and beyond, with calls for the swift and safe return of the affected pupils and teachers. Their release brings relief to families, school authorities, and residents who had kept hope alive throughout the ordeal.
