Parents, Beneficiaries Shower Encomiums on Oluseyi Oyebamiji for Sponsoring 2026 JAMB Exams in Egbeda/Ona-Ara
As registration for the 2026 JAMB examination draws to a close, parents and students across the 22 wards of Egbeda/Ona-Ara Federal Constituency have expressed profound appreciation to Oluseyi Oyebamiji for sponsoring the 2026 JAMB registration of numerous students within the constituency.
The initiative, described by many as timely and impactful has eased financial burdens on families and opened doors of opportunity for young aspirants seeking admission into tertiary institutions across the country.
At various registration points, parents could not hide their gratitude as they commended Oyebamiji’s sustained commitment to educational development. Several beneficiaries described the gesture as more than political goodwill, but a deliberate investment in the future of the constituency.
A parent from Ajia community, Ward 8 of Ona-Ara Local Government noted that the sponsorship came at a critical time when many households are grappling with economic pressures. According to her, “This support has lifted a heavy burden off many of us. It shows that he genuinely cares about the future of our children.”
Students who benefited from the programme also expressed excitement and renewed determination to excel in the forthcoming examination. A candidate from Isajin/Oyindamola village, Ward 2 of Egbeda Local Government also described the sponsorship as “a motivation to study harder and make her family proud,” while many other beneficiaries pledged to justify the opportunity given to them by striving for academic excellence.
Observers within the constituency have linked the JAMB sponsorship initiative to Oyebamiji’s broader educational interventions and scholarship scheme. Prior to this programme, several indigenous students had already benefitted from scholarship support across various higher institutions. The JAMB sponsorship is therefore seen as a continuation of a long-standing commitment rather than a seasonal gesture.
In his response, Oyebamiji reiterated that education remains the most strategic pathway to sustainable development. He emphasized that empowering young people academically is central to building a stronger and more competitive Egbeda/Ona-Ara.
He further disclosed his resolve to go beyond sponsorship by onboarding a new set to the existing full scholarship scheme for outstanding beneficiaries. According to him, top-performing students will receive sustained scholarship support throughout their higher education career.
“This is not just about paying for an examination form,” he stated. “It is about creating a chain of opportunity. When our children succeed, the entire constituency rises.”
